A series of high-level meetings between Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke, Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson, and the chief executives of Fannie Mae (FNM) and Freddie Mac (FRE), along with the companies' new regulator, the Federal Housing Finance Agency took place today. Barry Ritholtz via The Big Picture on Fri, 05 Sep. 2008
"This bright new system, this practice in the United States, this

What Up With Pimco?
Barry Ritholtz via The Big Picture on Fri, 05 Sep. 2008
WTF is up with PIMCO ?

Barry Ritholtz via The Big Picture on Thu, 04 Sep. 2008
I've been meaning to point to a fascinating part of TheStreet.com: Banks & Thrifts Screener. Its a pretty nifty tool that you can use to see if your bank is on the skids or not. (Note: I don't know what the basis of the ratings are -- they are proprietary)

I don't know which one is responsible, but I installed Chrome last night, and then updated my Firefox browser this morning -- and all of the Firefox bookmarks, passwords and history are now gone. Completely and totally kaput.I am not sure which one gets the blame, but I would be cautious with these two -- they don't seem to play well toge
